South Downtown Concept Plan (June 2004)
The riverfront lands comprising South Downtown offer a remarkable
opportunity for new development that will provide a major new destination
for residents and tourists alike. Developed as planned, this area
will help revitalize Riversdale and strengthen the Downtown.
This plan is one of a number that have been produced for this area
over the years and include what has come to be known as the Moriyama
Plan, the 1989 Mayor's Task Force report, and most recently, the
Southeast Riversdale Design Plan (2001). The South Downtown Plan
has borrowed heavily from the technical work underlying the Southeast
Riversdale Plan.
